There are times that I teach the boys and there are times that they teach me. Jonathan and Levi love to hear me sing, except I really can't sing at all. It is just noise! I am often reminded when they are clapping for me and grinning that God asks us to make a joyful NOISE and to praise him. I can sing songs of praise with pitch all over the place as long as my heart is turned toward Him. Talent isn't a requirement! The other "singing lesson" I've learned since becoming their mommy is a whole new understanding of the way we touch the heart of God when we do sing songs of praise to Him. The boys LOVE to sing! The first time Jonathan sang (and almost every time since) I stop everything and listen. It was that first time that the verse about God inhabiting the praise of His people (Psalm 22:3) immediately popped into my mind. I don't know if I had ever really understood that verse. In a small way this is how I am with Jonathan. God takes notice, dwells in our praise. He listens to the voices of His children and delights in them. I don't have to be technically beautiful; they are sweet sounds in His ear because I am His child singing because I love Him.

"Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance" Psalms 89:15

A Fun Saturday!

We made a quick stop at the boy's favorite place... Krispy Kreme!!! This was Levi's first time finishing a doughnut on his own.

We then went to Going Bonkers (an indoor playground.) The last time we went Jonathan was scared and wouldn't go very high or leave my side. This time Jonathan and Chris climbed to the very top. They rode all the slides and Jonathan was very upset when we had to leave (3 hours later.) Levi just chilled with Momma playing on the mats and eating snacks.
